William Bendure Obituary

Independence, Missouri - Dr. William "Jay" Bendure passed away November 5, 2022 at age 84. Jay was a Veterinarian and he owned Jackson County Animal Hosp. and Susquehanna Animal Clinic, and worked full time until 80 years old. Jay loved raising cattle and horses, fishing, and family gatherings with good food and laughter. He was preceded in death by his beloved wives Itha and Patsy and his younger brother Jim. He will be deeply missed by his children, step-children, many grandchildren, his sisters, nieces, nephews, and past co-workers. There will be a Celebration of Life on December 2nd, 2022 from 6pm to 8pm at Drumm Farm-Nelson Hall at 3210 Lees Summit Rd, Independence, MO 64055. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the following: morrisanimalfoundation.org or Drumm Farm Childrens Center - drummforkids.org

Dear Mandy, Becky and Jason. My heart hurts for the loss of your amazing dad. What a wonderful person he was to work for, and a good friend to many. He was so proud of all of you. He was a lot of fun and lived life to the fullest. One of the most positive people I ever knew. Jeff and I feel blessed for having known all of you! Much love, Julie and Jeff Nelson
