Donna McAdams, of Geneva died peacefully in her home surrounded by family on Wednesday, March 4th, 2015.

Born in Hutchison Kansas on September 9, 1937, Donna lived much of her childhood on her grandparent's farm in the Mennonite community of Buehler, Kansas. After graduation from high school, she moved to Wichita where she was employed as an Executive Secretary to the President of a major oil company and modeled petite fashions and hosiery on a friend's television program. She met Randall McAdams in Wichita and they married to begin a life that took them to homes across the country and back, finally settling in St. Charles, IL.

Donna was a gifted artist with a love of music and a sense of whimsy that brought beauty into every home that she occupied, and she enjoyed decorating and gardening at her house 'in the country' in Campton Township. After seeing their daughters grown & settled, Donna and Randall embarked on many travel adventures, with England, Scotland, Austria, the Carribian& Maui being favorite destinations.

Donna moved to Geneva, IL after the death of her husband and became involved with her church, lending her voice to the Women's Choir and later found many wonderful friends at the Geneva Senior Center.

Donna is survived by her daughters, Jill (Charles) Hansrote of St. Charles, and Holly Garfield of Elgin; three grandchildren, Meredith (Jodey) Charette, Jay Garfield and Mitchell Garfield; two great-grandchildren, Taryn & Gage Charette; and her sister, Juanita Jarvis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Randall McAdams.

Interment will be April 25, 2015, at Prairie Cemetery in St. Charles, IL.
