George Brewer Obituary

George Harrison Brewer
Born: August 5, 1938
Died: February 7, 2023
George Harrison Brewer was laid to rest and went to see the face of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ the 7th day of February, 2023 at the age of 84 years.
George was born in Galesburg, Illinois on August 5, 1938 and is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Robin G. (Jones) Brewer; three daughters, Cheryl L. Brewer (Ernst Wisner), Lorri A. Brewer, and Lisa K. Brewer; sister, Pamela J. Varner. George is also survived by his three grandsons, Joshua and Alec Williams, sons of Cheryl L. Brewer and Jacob Schaefer, son of Lorri A. Brewer.
George was preceded in death by his parents, George H. Brewer Sr. and Vivian M. (Morris) Brewer.
George was an Air Force Veteran stationed at Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, Texas, where he worked on B-47 Bombers and jet engines. He also served overseas in Guam.
George and Robin were married on February 20, 1961, in Dubuque, Iowa. Their story began with George strolling across the quad at University of Dubuque where he and Robin met. George was always an active man and could be found on the racquetball court and the golf course. He was well known in the banking community in the Fox Valley and surrounding areas. George's entrepreneurial spirit led him to be involved in the organization of Naperville Ribfest and to the startup of the family yacht charter business, GHB Enterprises Yacht Charters. The yacht charter business allowed George and Robin to travel extensively which was something they both truly enjoyed.
Funeral service and burial for George will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in George's behalf to the Republican Party.

We had to say goodbye to the the most important man in my life - My Dad. How do I say good by to someone who´s been with me my entire life ...February 20 would have been mom and dads 63 rd wedding anniversary
My dad has always shown his love in so many ways, seen the best in me and encouraged me to be kind, use my words, occasionally had to tell me don´t swear and don´t let anyone take advantage of me and one can always count on family. I will be forever empty without my dad here with us, our texts with his favorite emojis , followed by "bye", random how are you calls where we could discuss anything and everything and of course just seeing him. My dad was always checking in to see how my day was, how the boys and Ej were doing and of course our animals. I´m already missing his hugs and these words after every visit, call or text.."I love you forever Cher"and so much more ... My heart is broken into pieces but I´ll never stop talking to my dad daily.
