Jodi A. Simon-Matlock, age 47, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 10, 2023 in Phoenix, AZ. Jodi was born February 2, 1976 in Madison, WI., daughter of Mary Jo Simon (Batavia, IL) and her late father, Donald A. Simon (Sheboygan, WI)
With Jodi being born in Madison, WI., she became an instant Wisconsin Badger fan along with being born on Ground Hog's Day!! She loved watching Wisconsin Badger Football along with listening to the Wisconsin Badger Band.
Jodi had a beautiful smile and outgoing personality. She loved music, knew all the words to so many songs and loved to dance. Her favorite songs growing up were "Jodi Girl" and "Beautiful Noise". She was extremely talented in art. Jodi graduated in 1994 from St. Charles East High School, St. Charles, IL. She enjoyed gymnastics and was a member of the St. Charles Gymnastic Team.
Jodi is survived by her partner Jason Blackburn, (Phoenix, Az), and four children, Jayden and Jayce Blackburn (Phoenix, Az) Brianna and Brandon Matlock (San Diego, CA) mother Mary Jo Simon (Batavia, IL) her sister Stephanie (Nicole) Simon, her brother Timothy Simon (Streamwood, IL), nephew and niece, Ryder and Bailey along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Jodi was preceded in death with her father, Donald Simon, grandparents, Floyd and Josephine Schuette, Anton and Celie Simon all from Sheboygan, WI.
Her family is planning an Open House Celebration of Life for Jodi, Saturday Nov. 4th., at the Sturdy Shelter, 1-4p in Batavia, IL.
