John Seanor Obituary

John R. Seanor
Born: August 8, 1957 in Geneva, IL
Died: January 5, 2022 in Sandwich, IL
John R. Seanor, age 64, of Sandwich, formerly of Geneva and Aurora, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at his home.
He was born August 8, 1957 in Geneva, the son of James and Margaret (Clark) Seanor.
John was a quiet, kind and generous spirit. He was an excellent chef and spent his career working in several fine dining venues. He was dedicated to his family and spent lots of happy years while still coping with his liver transplants thanks to an excellent care by the team at University of Chicago. Please consider being an organ donor for this reason. We will be forever grateful to have had this man touch and change our lives.
He is survived by niece Kelly Seanor and great niece Madeline Seanor of Cortland, Illinois, and other dear relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents (James and Margaret Seanor) and his brother James Ronald Seanor, all of whom resided near or within Geneva for their lifetimes. His father James Seanor retired as a Geneva Policeman where he served the community for many years. His grandfather had the first auto dealership in West Chicago.
A graveside service for John will be held in May of this year (date to be announced) at Oakwood Cemetery in West Chicago.

I met John at Aurora Country Club in 1979, he was the Sous Chef. I worked the Broiler. We had met again at Hollywood Casino in Aurora in 1986 Fairbanks Steakhouse. We became close friends and eventually lived together. After learning his medical issues, I basically took care of him and the home when he had to undergo surgeries at University of Chicago and Rush Hospital. We were like Brothers and shared Life Experiences together for 43 years. John was Kind and a quiet man. Our Families got together for the Holidays and we helped each others Parents as their health issues declined. Over this past summer of 2021 we had been at his side for whatever he wanted or needed. He had requested us to be at his side during his final days which was the most difficult time I ever experienced to see my Best Friend of 43 years endure. He will be sorely missed, and we know he had passed in Peace. Rest in Peace my Friend.
