Born: November 4, 1948
Died: September 29, 2025
Nicholas K. Carter, 76, of Elburn, Illinois, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, September 29, 2025, in his family home. He was born in Beaumont, Texas on November 4, 1948, to his parents, Thomas and Barbara Carter.
Nick is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lynne Carter; his sons, Ryan Carter and Trey (Andrea) Carter; his granddaughter, Abigail Carter; his brothers, Scott (Debbie) Carter and Tim (Linda) Carter; his beloved dog, Libby, and a whole community of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Barbara Carter.
An open house to celebrate Nick's life will be held at Elburn Lions Park, 500 Filmore St. Elburn, IL on November 8, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., hosted by his family.
In lieu of flowers, consider making a donation to the Elburn Lions Club in Nick's memory. Memorials may be mailed in care of P.O. Box 66, Elburn, 60119. Tributes may also be forwarded to the same address, the Conley Funeral Home Facebook Page, or at www.conleycare.com.
