David Schwartz Obituary

It is with profound sadness, we announce the passing Of David Schwartz, 76, Of Central Point Oregon, who died on September 15, 2025. David was born to Orval & Julia (Hutchinson) Schwartz in Medford and lived most of his life in Central Point. He was a loving and devoted Husband and Father. His dry wit and patient style were signature elements of his personality. David was an engineer by trade and worked for S&B James construction for over 30 Years. He had a passion and intellect for fabrication and endless tinkering. After retirement he split his time between the constant "chores" in his shop and being a mentor and father figure to all those whose lives he touched. David was a proud veteran of the Marine Corps and flew his POW/MIA flag solemnly below the Stars and Stripes. David was a devoted sports fan of The Seattle Mariners, Oregon Ducks, and the Crater Comets, where he held season tickets for the football games for nearly 40 Years. Though his greatest love for sports was watching his children and Grandchildren in whatever sporting events they endeavored to be part of. David was predeceased by Granddaughter Mackenzie and is survived by his Loving Wife Susan, Sister Janice, Twin Son and Daughter Sherman and Andrea, Stepsons Jason and Jacob, Grand Children Ronni, Steven, Bryon, Mazzie, Madison, Trent, Alison, and Draven, and Great Granddaughters Rhys and Alaina. A memorial Service is being held at the Central Point Conger Morris Mortuary on September 25th, 2025, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of Flowers donations can be made to Crater Foundation in David's honor.
