Claryce Bebb Obituary

Kearney resident, 70

KEARNEY - Claryce L. Bebb, 70, of rural Kearney died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Stan Murdoch officiating. Burial of cremains will be later in Norton, Kan.

There will be no visitation.

Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.

She was born April 3, 1940, in Imperial to Clarence and Leona (Lunbery) Foster.

On May 21, 1955, she married Howard E. Bebb in Norton.

Survivors include her husband; son, William "Bill" Bebb and his wife, Reesa, of Kearney; daughter-in-law, Monica Bebb of Lenora, Kan.; sister, Margie Webster of Kearney; brother, David Foster and his wife, Karen, of Kearney; grandchildren, Jeremy Webster and wife, Celeste, Erik and his wife, Hannah, Jamie and his wife, Jillian, Josie, Jared, Jordan, Jonas and Jesse Bebb, Gavyn Reier, and Justin and his wife, Megan, Stephen and Zane Bebb; and great-grandchildren, Abby Bebb and Tanner, Alexxys, Kaleb and Owen Webster; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She grew up and attended school in the Republican City area.

After their marriage, she and Howard lived in Topeka, Kan., until 1961 then moved to Norton. In 1966, they moved to Golden, Colo., and in 1970 they moved to Oxford before moving to Republican City in 1973.

They moved to the Axtell-Kearney area in 1980 and had lived there since.

She had many occupations during her life, the last being a rural newspaper carrier.

She enjoyed crocheting and made an afghan for each of her grandchildren.

She loved card games, bingo and fishing and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sons, Albert and Charles; and brother-in-law, James Webster.
