Earl Klein, 73 of Pleasanton passed away Sunday, June 22, 2025 at CHI Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2025 at Grace Lutheran Church in Pleasanton with Pastor Dean Hanson officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasanton Cemetery. The family will greet friends 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Earl was born June 14, 1952 in Kearney, NE to Harold and Rosalia (Schuller) Klein. He was raised in Pleasanton and received his education from Pleasanton High School, graduating in 1970. Earl later attended Kearney State College and Central Nebraska Tech School where he earned his electrical degree in 1974. This led him to working locally and internationally in implementing and developing pivot irrigation systems. On February 21, 1976, Earl was united in marriage to Pam Schroeder in Pleasanton, NE. The couple made their home in Pleasanton where they raised their family. Earl enjoyed playing softball, hunting and fishing in his younger years. Recently he enjoyed spending time with family and friends and watching his grandchildren play sports. Earl was a longtime member of the Pleasanton Volunteer Fire Department.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Pam Klein of Pleasanton; children, Steve (Lori) Klein and Katie (Levi) Griffis all of Pleasanton; grandchildren, Brady, Carter and Cade Klein and Sloane, Quinn and Josh Griffis; brother, Wayne (Dayle) Klein of Loup City; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Earl was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Eileen and Ladonna.
