Evonne Bergt Obituary
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Kearney. The Rev. John Rasmussen will officiate and burial will be at Kearney Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Thursday at the church.
Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney is in charge of arrangements.

Evonne was born March 17, 1929, in Amherst to Frank K. and Marie J. (Kreutzer) Fisher. She attended Amherst High School and graduated in 1946.
She married Eugene C. Bergt on Jan. 1, 1948, in Amherst. Evonne was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Trinity Lutheran Church and finally Holy Cross Lutheran Church. She enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening and traveling. She especially enjoyed sharing her Christian faith with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters, Corliss and Mike Merrick of Littleton, Colo., Debra and Robert Long of Amherst, Linnea and Raymond King of Amherst; son, Clarence and Lisa Bergt of Amherst; son-in-law, Claude Robertson of Texas; sister, Dorothy and Norman Fiddelke of Iowa Falls, Iowa; sister-in-law, Ruby Fisher of Beatrice; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; numerous other family members and friends.
Evonne was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene; daughter, Barbara Robertson; brother, Lowell Fisher.
Memorials are suggested to Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
