Jacqueline Brink Obituary
Memorial services are 11 a.m. Monday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Omaha.
Jacqueline Lee (Johnson) Brink was born Oct. 31, 1938, in Grand Island to Fred and Frances Johnson.
She was a beloved wife, who lost her husband David H. Brink of 60 years one year ago, a mother, a grandmother, a great-grandmother, retired OPS teacher for 35 years and Omaha Marian physical education teacher in 1970. Jackie coached several junior high school sports and was the assistant coach of Creighton Naiads Synchronized Swim Team. Jackie loved spending time on her acreage in her many flower gardens, raising AKC Chihuahuas for 40 years, enjoyed showing Arabian horses and traveling with Creighton Naiads Swim Team all over the United States with her daughter.
Survivors include her children, Charles (Danette) Brink, Brian Brink, Dayne Brink, Jennifer Brink (E. David) Bressman; siblings, Barbara and Stephen; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren along with other relatives and friends.
Jacqueline is preceded in death by her husband David H. Brink.

Mrs. Brink was one of the most beautiful, kind, and patient women I knew in my young life. She was a coach first, but cared for us as her own. She pushed us to work hard in swimming, but also guided us as we grew from Children to teens and young adults. She was always positive. We admired her as a teacher and several kids followed her in that career. We were truly blessed to have her in our lives and for her influence. I will always remember her lovingly.

My deepest heartfelt sympathy to the Brink family for this deep loss. Although I didnt know Her personally, I can honestly say that Her Boys are wonderful Men and a product of their upbringing! May God Bless the whole family in this time of need!

I will miss my friend of many years, first as a teaching colleague and then as a Naiad's coach. Our years of travel with the team, including my daughter, were a special period of our lives - largely due to Jackie's influence. We send our sincerest sympathies to the family.
