John C. Foss
John C. Foss, of Janesville, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at the age of 66. John was born in Edgerton, Wisconsin on August 19, 1957; the son of Clayton and Phyllis (Libby) Foss. After graduating from Craig High School in Janesville, class of 1975, John earned his Bachelor Degree from UW Stout in Hotel and Restaurant Management. He was employed as the food service director for several colleges and private schools throughout the country over the years, including Virginia, Oregon, Wisconsin, Missouri and Nebraska. In 1986, he married Angie Petersen with which he had three children. John was a defensive starter on the undefeated 1974 Craig High School football team, and also went on to play football for four years at U.W. Stout. He loved Wisconsin sports, including the Packers, Brewers, Bucks, Badgers, and Nebraska if they weren't playing Wisconsin! John enjoyed time outdoors hunting and fishing; and loved pheasant hunting over his German Shorthair Pointers. He was involved with Pheasants Forever for many years.
John is survived by his children: Taylor, Jensen and Elizabeth Foss; and his brother, James (Carolyn) Foss; as well as many extended family members and friends.
He is preceded in death his parents, Clayton and Phyllis Foss.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, December 4, 2023 at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME; with Rev. Michael Mueller officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until time of service. For online condolences and guestbook, please visit: www.schneiderfuneraldirectors.com
