She was the beloved widow of Eldon Hoelting and was predeceased by her parents, Helen and Otto Buescher, and her brother, Donald Buescher. Jolene is survived by her sisters, Geraldine Karmazin and Marita Lukasek.

A devoted mother, Jolene leaves behind her children Lynn (Cathy) Hoelting of Goodland, Kansas; Don Hoelting of Baltimore, Maryland; Cheryl Hoelting of Omaha, Nebraska; and Michelle (Bill) Hansen of Denver, Colorado. Jolene grew up in Lawrence, Nebraska, and received a teaching certificate from Kearney State College. Then, the newlyweds moved to Campbell and started their family. In 1964, the family moved to Kearney where Eldon and Jolene raised their family. Jolene taught at Northeast Elementary and later worked in the registrar's office at Kearney State College before retiring and volunteering at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Jolene was a wonderful lady. I remember being hired at UNK in the registrar's office and she worked at the counter with me. She was always very kind and took the time to teach me the in's and out's of the office. Condolences to the family.
