Kurt Lauer Obituary

WOOSTER, Ohio - Kurt K. Lauer, 75, of Wooster died Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at West View Healthy Living in Wooster.
There will be no services.
McIntire Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home in Wooster is in charge of arrangements.

He was born Aug. 9, 1946, the son of Avnelle Pool Lauer in Kearney, Neb.
He married Robyn Markus on June 23, 1979.
Kurt had been a designer, and builder, of buildings for the last 30 years. He was very good at his profession. Kurt excelled as a basketball player in high school, having played for the Gibbon Buffaloes of Gibbon, Neb. While in high school he was voted a High School All-American, alongside another basketball great named Lew Alcindor (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar). Kurt then went on to earn a master's degree in psychology from Kearney State College in Kearney. Currently, Kurt holds the Nebraska high school boys basketball single-season scoring record of 956 points (1963-64). Kurt was elected to the Nebraska High School Sports Hall of Fame in 2008.
Survivors include his wife, Robyn; sons Kristopher Lauer of Wooster and Eric Lauer of Houston; and granddaughter, Jazzlyn Lauer of Wooster.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at www.nationalmssociety.org or plant a tree in memory of Kurt.
