Lance Von Hawke was born June 22, 1969. in Kearney to Gregory and Karen (Nielsen) Hawke. He received his education from Gibbon High School, graduating with the class of 1987. Lance traveled the United States doing construction. He specialized in slate roofs and worked on several historic buildings in Charleston, South Carolina. Lance also did drywall for many high-end retail business all along the East Coast.
Survivors include his mother, Karen Nielsen of Kearney; siblings, John Buso and Wade Buso, Matt Hawke, Cy Hawke and Kelly Hawke; aunt, Diane Nielsen; uncle, Dan (Sue) Hawke; cousin, Shon Hawke; and several extended family and friends.
Lance was preceded in death by his father, Greg Hawke; grandparents, Alberta Grayek, Virgil Nielsen and Vernon and AnnaDean Hawke; and his uncle and aunt, Jeff and Betty Hawke.
Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
