Mark Gifford Obituary
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at O'Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney with Jim Wilson officiating.
Interment will follow at Kearney Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mark was born July 5, 1958, in Kearney to Robert and Doneta (Best) Gifford. He was raised in Kearney and attended Kearney High School, graduating with the class of 1976. Mark owned and operated Gifford Brothers Roofing for several years. He then worked for Fiddelke Heating and Air, and later Rutt's Heating and Air.
Mark enjoyed playing pool, horseshoes, darts, watching movies and visits to Omaha to spend time with his daughters and grandchildren. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Survivors include his children, Conan Gifford of Kearney, Tessa (Adam) Barney of Omaha and Vanessa (Evan Swift) Gifford of Omaha; grandchildren, Cora, William and Oliver Barney, Nora and Isla Swift; siblings, Robin Wiles, John Gifford, Mary Gifford and Mickey Gifford, all of Kearney; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Pat Gifford and Tim Gifford.
Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
