Milan Psota Obituary

KEARNEY - Milan "Mike" Psota, 78, of Ravenna died Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Ravenna with the Rev. Martin Egging officiating. Burial will be at Highland Park Cemetery in Ravenna.

Wake services will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the church.

Rasmussen Funeral Home in Ravenna is in charge of arrangements.

He was born June 8, 1931, in Sherman County to Rudolph and Albie (Kostal) Psota.

On Nov. 5, 1954, he married Barbara Vavra in Greeley, Colo.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Kirk Psota and his wife, Janet, of Lexington, Kent Psota and his wife, DeAnn, of Kearney and Kevin Psota and his wife, Brandy, of Ravenna; daughters, Karla Stueben and her husband, Terry, of Boelus and Karen Gascoigne and her husband, Greg, of Callaway; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He attended elementary school in Sherman County and graduated from Ravenna High School. He served in the U.S. Army from Aug. 26, 1952, to Aug. 12, 1954.

He and his wife made their home on a farm northwest of Ravenna.

He was preceded in death by daughter, Kristine Schneider on March 5, 2000, and brother, Clarence Psota on June 5, 2004.
