Norrine R. Rockwell, 100, of Kearney passed away Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Mother Hull Home in Kearney.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor James DeLoach and Doug Gaunt officiating. Interment will follow at the Kearney Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Norrine was born August 10, 1925, in Fortuna, North Dakota to Louis and Ida (Mann) Pulvermacher. On August 15, 1945, she was united in marriage to Rev. Elmer Schutz. To this union two children were blessed. They remained married until Elmer's death in 1986. Norrine later married Everett "Rocky" Rockwell on August 31, 1991. The couple enjoyed many years of marriage and traveling. Norrine worked 30 years for various businesses with the last 13 years with the Buffalo County Assessor's Office as a bookkeeper.

Norrine enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading, tending to her house plants, and playing cards, especially Pinochle. She was a long-time member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Eunice Hibbs; son, Dennis (Sue) Schutz; grandchildren, Phoebe Hibbs, Sara (David) Holder, and Jonathan Schutz; great-grandchildren, Evan Holder and Kaylee Holder; stepdaughter, Cynthia Rockwell; step-grandchildren, Andrew (Beth) Naylor; step great-grandsons, Everett Naylor and James Naylor; sister, Louise Fink; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Norrine was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Elmer Schutz and Everett "Rocky" Rockwell; siblings, Richard and Lloyd Pulvermacher, Ardith Huffman, Shirley Korth, Gail Venne; and a daughter-in-law, Sharon Schutz.
