William Riley Obituary
KEARNEY - William E. "Butch" Riley, 87, of Republican City died Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Bauer-Torrey & Mach Funeral Home in Alma with the Rev. Murray Jones officiating. Burial will be at Alma Cemetery with military honors by the Alma American Legion Post in conjunction with the U.S. Navy Military Honors Team.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the family present from 5:30-7 p.m.
He was born Feb. 9, 1926, in Anadarko, Okla., to William E. and Flossie (Edelman) Riley.
On June 4, 1950, he married Wauneta Durnil in Almena, Kan.
Survivors include his wife; daughter, Rochelle Jurgens of Holdrege; sisters, Shirley Fischer of Kearney, Mary Fecht of Amherst and Barbara Artz of Minden; and two grandsons.
