Brenda Feyereisen Obituary

Brenda Feyereisen passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023, at the Daughtry Hospice house in Sioux Falls South Dakota. Brenda Kay Feyereisen was born in Watertown South Dakota February 26, 1949, to Bernard and Martha West. She had six brothers and sisters, Eugene West, Jim West, Bonnie Wolf, Linda Jackson, Beverly Kasdorf, and Gordan West. She attended Watertown High School. After graduating she worked as a waitress for a short time until she found the love of her life and soul mate George Feyereisen. They were married on 04/08/1972 and purchased a farm south of Kranzburg South Dakota. Brenda and George had two children Joe Feyereisen, and Mary Feyereisen. Brenda spent many years taking care of her children, and helping George on the farm. After her children got older, she decided to pursue her passion for helping people and got her C.N.A License. She spent the next 25 years as a Home Health Nurse at Prairie Lakes Hospital. After retirement she loved spending time with her grandchildren, Gardening, mowing the lawn, and helping on the farm. Grateful for having shared her life with her is her husband George Feyereisen (Goodwin SD) Daughter Mary Feyereisen, Son Joe Feyereisen (wife Heather) (Dell Rapids SD), Grandson Ethan Feyereisen (Dell Rapids SD), Granddaughter Jade Feyereisen (Luverne MN) Granddaughter Harlie Kays (Sioux Falls SD) Brenda was preceded in death by her parents Bernard, and Martha West, Brother Jim West, Sister Linda Jackson, Brother Eugene West, Brother-in-law Larry Wolf, Nephew Josh West, and Niece Trisha West. Always missed never forgotten. Private services will be held at a later date.

Dear George and family, this came as such a shock. Our hearts are saddened with the loss of dear Brenda. We had some pretty good laughs at the family reunion and even exchanged a couple recipe's. You are in our thoughts and prayers. RIP Brenda.

Brenda was such a caring and loving person. My Mom and Dad thought the world of her. Brenda always thought of my sister Mary and would give her gladiolas that she raised in her garden and pumpkins that she would so beautifully paint in the Fall.
I will always remember Brenda by her warm smile and for always being a happy go lucky person, she still had that warm smile when I saw her in the hospital.
You will never be forgotten Brenda, for you were the best, and I am glad that George chose you, so I could have you for my cousin!! Linette Churchill
