Daphne Sullivan Obituary
Daphne Jane Sullivan, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2024, after bravely facing long-term health challenges, including a recent transition to dialysis at Sanford Health. Born on September 29, 1976, in Texas, to Michael and Barbara Beach, Daphne's vibrant spirit and boundless energy defined her from an early age. She was the embodiment of joy, often remembered as the life of the party with a love for dancing, country bars, and an innate ability to forge lasting friendships.
Daphne's strength of will was evident throughout her life, making her the steadfast glue that held her family together. Her passion for the outdoors shone brightly, with camping being among her most cherished activities. Her life was a testament to resilience, especially after the tragic loss of her first husband in a car accident. Fate stepped in when she met Billy Sullivan at work, and after a persistent courtship, they married on February 22, 2012. This union blessed Daphne with a loving husband, two sons, Andrew and Dallas, and later, their daughter, Catelynn, in 2004. Vincent and Amber also joined the family as loved step children of Daphnes.
Daphne's work ethic and warmth made her a favorite among customers and colleagues during her tenure at Kum and Go Gas Station. She took pride in her job and approached every task with a "get it done" attitude. Beyond her professional life, Daphne had diverse interests, including archery, a fascination with wolves, and hiking. Her companion, Coco, was a source of immense joy and comfort and recently the addition of a new puppy, Rosy, brought tremendous joy and love into Daphne's life.
A culinary enthusiast, Daphne loved experimenting with new recipes, often inspired by cooking shows. Her spaghetti and meatballs, enjoyed by her family just days before her passing, will be remembered as a symbol of her love and care. As a grandmother, she excelled in showering her grandchildren with affection and treats, embodying the role with grace.
Daphne's courage in facing diabetes and her recent dialysis treatment was remarkable. She faced her health struggles without complaint, displaying remarkable grace and grit. Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Santos, Dr. Richards, and the dialysis team at Sanford Health for their compassionate care.
Daphne's legacy is one of love, resilience, and the joy she brought to every life she touched. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the vibrant, loving, and spirited woman she was. Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Monday, February 26, 2024, at 2:30 p.m.
