Lawrence Anthony "Larry" Weissenburger

Lawrence (Larry) Weissenburger was born June 19, 1941, in Milwaukee, WI. Larry served four years active duty in the US Airforce, and US inactive duty from May 1, 1963 to April 30, 1969. Larry was a jet aircraft mechanic in the Air Force, but his love was woodworking. He became a Union Carpenter in Wisconsin and retired in 2006. As a Union worker, he built everything from churches to power plants. Larry enjoyed making furniture and antique tools. He would see some item in one of his magazines and decide to build it. He often told his wife that he would build it in his sleep before actually building it. Larry married Sandra Raatz on March 8, 1969. They have four children, Connie (Dean) Goodfellow, Debra (Mike) Klingenberg, Lawrence (Rachael) Weissenburger II, Robert (Jaimie) Weissenburger. They have sixteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Larry has one sister Barbara Splittgerber-Jefferson, WI, and Anthony Weissenburger, AZ. He is preceded in death by his brother Roger and his parents Violet Strieck and Anton Weissenburger. The Funeral Service will take place 1 PM, Monday, October 27, 2025 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, with light refreshments to follow. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with military honors.
