Sheryl Ann Langfitt

Sheryl "Sherry" Ann (Steelman) Langfitt, 62, of Belle Fourche died January 23, 2023 at her home. She was born October 5, 1960 in Boise, ID to Donald and Letha (Doman) Steelman. The third of 3 girls, older sisters, Teressa and Carolynn. Sherry graduated from high school at age 15 and attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where she graduated with a Bachelor in general studies. Sherry met her eternal companion Larry Langfitt in Lake Elsinor, CA in July 1979 while home for the summer from the university. After a short time they were sealed in the Provo Utah Temple for time and ALL eternity. They enjoyed 43 years as a couple united in faith and bound in love. From this union 5 children were born, Joshua James, Megan Rene, Sarah Liane, Rebecca Lynn and Ximinie Rose and to these children 21 grandchildren blessed their life. The 7 words that encompass Sherry are a loving heart, fierce mind, courageous spirit, she loved to bake, enjoyed music, gardening and Reading. Her true passions were family, quilting and her faith in the redeeming love of the Savior. May she walk with him forever more. Grateful for sharing her life are her husband, Larry Langfitt of Belle Fourche; children, Joshua (Leslie) Langfitt of Virginia, Megan (Randall) Curtis of Georgia, Sarah Marrow of Kentucky, Rebbeca (Jamie) Jex of Kentucky and Ximinie Langfitt of Kentucky; two sisters, Teresa Richmond of Idaho and Carolynn Steelman of New Mexico; 19 grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Letha Steelman and a grandchild, TJ. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on Saturday, February 4 at 10:00 am. All are welcome.
