Phyllis J. Schleitwiler, 94, of Fort Wayne passed away February 26, 2022 at Saint Anne Home, Fort Wayne, IN. Phyllis was born March 21, 1927 in Berwyn, Ill, a daughter of the late Ralph and Dora Compton. She was a lover of art, enjoyed painting, cat lover, and bridge player. Phyllis was a prior member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Oswego, Ill and St's Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Naperville, Il. Phyllis is survived by son, Dan (Julie) Schleitwiler; grandchildren, Danny (Amanda) Schleitwiler, Anna (Christopher) Scalet, and Kevin Schleitwiler; and brother, "Jerry" (Betty) Compton. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Schleitwiler, and sister, Mary Wood. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Saint Anne Home & Retirement Community Oratory of Saints Joachim and Anne, 1900 Randallia Dr. with calling one hour prior. Burial will be in Risen Lord Cemetery - Oswego, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to St Jude Children's Hospital or Waterleaf Women's Center, Aurora, Il.
