Sharon M. Candella, age 71, of Sandwich, IL passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb, IL. She was born on July 13, 1951 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Edward and Mary (Piekarski) Bogus.
Sharon was united in marriage on October 5, 1974 to Joseph P. Candella and they spent the next 48 years happily together. She was employed as an accounting supervisor for many years until giving birth to her daughter. Sharon was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Candella of Sandwich, IL; her daughter, Amanda (Chris) Medlyn of Wentzville, MO; her grandchildren, William and Finnegan Medlyn; her brother, Edward Bogus of Schaumburg, IL; her sister, Shirley (Frank) Michalak of Darien, IL; her brother-in-law, Robert Wierdak of Downers Grove, IL; as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded by her parents, Edward and Mary Bogus; and her sister, Sheila Wierdak.
