Annette J. Ishmael
1939 - 2020
Annette Joyce Ishmael, age 81, resident of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin died Thursday, August 6th, 2020 at Froedtert South Kenosha Campus. Annette was born January 8, 1939 in Kenosha, WI to Arthur and Joyce Cappelen. She attended schools in Kenosha and graduated from Bradford High School.
Annette married Floyd D. Ishmael (deceased) in June 1958, and they were blessed with three children, Kathleen (Kelly), Kristine, and Richard. Annette was a loving wife and mother. Early in her married life she was involved in the Pleasant Prairie Woman's Club, a Brownie Leader and a Girl Scout Leader. Later she became an avid Kenosha Band Booster patron and chairperson as well as the seamstress, uniform chairman and head chaperone for the Band of The Black Watch.
Annette was a kind and loving Mother. She spent her life supporting her three children in all of their endeavors, as well as those of her three grand children. She loved to garden and travel the world. She is survived by her sister Deborah Lenfestey and brother Steve Cappelen; as well as by her three children Kathleen (Kelly) Francois, Kristine (Greg) Vallin, Richard Ishmael and her grandchildren Bridger, Tessa and Cassidy Vallin; along with many nieces and nephews.
Annette was preceded in death by her loving husband Floyd D. Ishmael, parents Joyce and Arthur Cappelen, and siblings Susan Lees, Doris Cappelen and Douglas Cappelen.
A special shout out to her high school girlfriends that remained treasured friends until the end. Thank you for the joy and laughter you brought Mom.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday August 29th, 2020 at Greenridge Cemetery.
Due to COVID-19 concerns graveside service will be limited to family only.
To show your support to the family, friends who would have attended the service should gather at the gate of Greenridge Cemetery at approximately 9:30 AM to greet the family as they enter the cemetery for the services.
