Darlyne Orth Obituary
1937 - 2013
Darlyne M. Orth, 75, of Kenosha, died on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at her residence.
Born in Rhinelander, Wis., on Dec. 28, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Theresa (Gohlke) Fischer. They moved to Kenosha when Darlyne was eight years old. She attended local schools and graduated from Kenosha High School.
On Sept. 12, 1959, at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church, she was united in marriage to Earl F. Orth. They were blessed with three children and 53 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on Feb. 5, 2013.
She was employed with various companies over the years including Vincent McCall, Simmons Co., Oliver Adjustment, Kenosha Packing and retired after 20 years of service in the finance department with Chrysler Corporation.
Darlyne enjoyed dancing, golfing, playing cards, gambling on the slot machines and working puzzle books, especially cryptograms. Most of all, she cherished time with her family and adored her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, William (Shirley) Orth of Marathon Key, Fla.; her two daughters, Maureen (Gus) Cox and Rebecca (Scott) Martell, both of Kenosha; her seven grandchildren, Tim (April) and Todd Orth, Josh and Steven Fleming, Amanda Martell, and Casey and Cody Cox; five great-grandchildren and her siblings, Richard Fisher, of Kenosha, Harry (Jean) Fisher, of Racine, Virginia (Stan) Stanfill, of Orlando, Fla., and Helen Sanders along with many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Fisher and a sister, Rosemary Fisher.
Funeral services will be on Friday, April 26, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
