Deanna Clancy Obituary

Deanna D. Clancy

1939-2022

KENOSHA - Deanna D. Clancy, 82, of Kenosha, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 14, 2022, at Froedtert South Pleasant Prairie.

Born in Lansing, IA, on April 6, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Verona (Pottratz) Clancy. She was educated in the schools of Lansing, and moved to DeSoto, WI in 1961, then to Kenosha, WI in 1964, where she has resided since.

Deanna was employed by Snap-On Tools for 30 years until her retirement.

Deanna took pride in her flowers, and cared for any living thing, big or small, with absolute passion and grace, from feeding the chipmunk (Walter) in the backyard, to raising her children, and grandchildren.

She was the best gardener in the world, her yard was the most beautiful in the whole neighborhood and would draw visitors every year. She adored warm weather and sunbathing, during summers she spent as much time as she possibly could sitting in the backyard in her bikini soaking up the sun.

She was the MVP of her basketball team and played the saxophone in her younger years. Deanna was a huge fan of Elvis and even kept his autograph in her jewelry box on her dresser. Deanna loved her Pinot Grigio (and had a sweet tooth to match her personality), she enjoyed having a glass (or 2) in the evening and watching movies on repeat with her family. Some of her favorite movies include, The Godfather Trilogy and A Star is Born. Deanna was the biggest football fan you could ever meet, she was an avid Green Bay Packer and Iowa Hawkeyes fan.

Above all, Deanna loved spending time with family, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the apple of her eye, they are eternally grateful to love and have been loved by such a warm, intelligent, funny, kind, bold, compassionate, and gentle woman.

Survivors include her two children: Mark (Michelle) Dyer, Sr. and Kelly Dyer, both of Kenosha; five grandchildren: Mackenzie, Mark, Jr., Kaitlyn, Caleb and Fiona; seven great-grandchildren: Briella, Mila, Amias, Eva, Diego, Austin, and Jessenia; and two siblings: Bebee (Rick) Truelson and Carl (Diane) Clancy. She is further survived by other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by seven siblings, Betty Munchoff, Beverly Boies, Belva Gramlich, Bernadine Feverhelm, Walter "Chip" Clancy, Jr., Barbara Leppert, and Bonita McKee. As well as her beloved cat's: Popeye and Sugar.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022, at Proko Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. To live stream the service, please copy and paste https://www.facebook.com/ProkoFuneralHome/live_videos/ into your browser at that time.
