Doris Tracy Obituary
With deep sorrow and abiding gratitude, we announce the passing of Doris Tracy, a woman whose strength, love, and wisdom left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Doris departed this life peacefully, knowing she was deeply loved. Her strength, humor, and wisdom left a lasting imprint on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Doris was a devoted daughter, wife, stepmother, and friend. She cherished time with friends and family and found joy in simple pleasures-bowling, dancing, walking, and fishing, which brought her peace and connection throughout her life. Athletic and spirited, she carried herself with confidence and a generous heart.
Her professional life was marked by service, determination, and leadership. Doris built a successful career by forging strong relationships and leading with integrity. A leader in her chosen field, she believed in doing right by others and earned respect not just for what she accomplished, but for how she helped them.
Doris is survived by family across New Jersey, Virginia, Lake County, Illinois, and the Kenosha, Wisconsin area. Her friends were family to her as well. Though many of these cherished companions have since passed, their memory lived on vividly in Doris' heart, and the love they shared continued to shape her days.
A Memorial Visitation will be held from 4–6 p.m. on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Gurnee Salata Funeral Home located at 4190 Old Grand Ave, Gurnee, IL 60031. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Wisconsin Humane Society.
Doris' legacy lives on in the hearts of those she loved and in the lives she touched. May her memory be a blessing, and may we carry forward the love she gave.
