Dragojla Stojic

1934 - 2018

Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Dragojla "Draga" Stojic was born in Trnava, Serbia on July 26, 1934. She entered Heaven's gates on Jan. 1, 2018.

A consummate and loving mother and homemaker, Draga was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family, friends and community. Over the years she shared her talent and love of preparing Serbian foods with her family and church.

Draga had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, in Racine, Wis. Over the years, she was very involved with the church and assisted with numerous events.

Draga was the youngest of five children and was predeceased by her two brother's Slobodan and Momir and two sisters Desanka and Darinka.

Draga is survived by her husband, Dragan Stojic; her only son, Vitomir Stojic and his wife, Heidi. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Alexandra Stojic and Jasmina Stojic and one great-granddaughter, Ivana Stojic. Draga also has many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She will be deeply missed by all!

Her son and family give special thanks to her niece, Desanka Gillespie who lovingly cared for her the last years of her life. The family gives her and everyone else who cared for Draga their greatest gratitude.

The family will receive friends and family at her Wake on Jan. 8, 2018, at Sveta Gora Funeral Home. 3517-27 N. Pulaski Road, Chicago at 7 p.m.

Funeral services and burial will be held in Trnava, Serbia.
