Elizabeth "Liz" Andrea, 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Robin Way Assisted Living in Kenosha, WI.
Born November 18, 1939, Liz was a nurse's aide for her entire career at St. Catherines Hospital, Kenosha Hospital, and Brookside Care Center.
Liz enjoyed traveling, dining out and spending time with her family, friends, nieces, and nephews. She lived at Robin Way and participated in community outings and activities. Liz was known for her generosity, happily giving away all that she had acquired through the years. Her kindness, generous spirit and subtle sense of humor was appreciated by her fellow residents and staff members.
She is survived by a brother, Carmen (Lori) Andrea; and sister-in-law, Rina Andrea; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, as well as her dear cousin, Gloria Andrea.
Liz was preceded in death by her brothers: Joseph (Olivia) Andrea and Louis Andrea; and sister, Domenica (Jack) Gehring.
Thank you to the kind, professional, thoughtful staff at Robin Way who cared for Liz for many years. The Harmony Cares hospice nurses are greatly appreciated for joining Liz's care team and supporting her dignity and comfort.
Visitation will begin with a Rosary at 8:45 a.m. at Proko Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. Visitation will continue until the time of service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. George Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Liz's honor be made to Harmony Cares Hospice 2514 S. 102 St. STE 276, West Allis, WI 53227.
