1938 - 2015

Gloria Ann Niesen, 77, went to her heavenly home on Dec. 3, 2015, in United Hospital System in Kenosha, Wis.

She was born Oct. 1, 1938, the daughter of Albert H. and Josephine Nee: Gizinski Niesen.

Gloria worked as a billing clerk and at the Purple Heart Veterans before retiring. She was also a long time member of St. John Nepomuk Church. Gloria loved writing poems and was very proud to have one of them published in the Racine Journal for everyone to read. She prayed to her lord every day for comfort, safety , and thanked him for the beautiful creation that he created.

Gloria is survived her nieces and nephews, Gregory Niesen, Jerome (Rainy) Neisen, Mark (Judy) Niesen , Thomas (Ann) Niesen, Rosa Marie (Robert) Omahne, Barbara June and Carol (Joe) Spranger, Kathleen Niesen, Steven Neisen, Matthew Niesen, Michael Niesen, Patrick Niesen Vincent Niesen, Margaret Niesen, and a sister-in-law Jewel, along with a very special and dear friend Sandra Luxon. She will be deeply missed by all her friends at the Claridge House where Gloria resided since 2002. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Beatrice and Rose Marie Neisen, and two brothers Gregory Niesen Sr. and Paul Niesen.

Services will be held Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015, at 3 p.m. in the funeral home. The family will receive guests from 2 p.m. until the time of service. A private family burial will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery on Kinzie. Pastor David Baugher officiating.
