Jane H. Becker
May 27, 1942 - November 8, 2025
Jane H. Becker, 83, of Bristol, WI, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025 in Kenosha, WI.
She was born on May 27, 1942, in Kenosha, the daughter of the late Everett and Alneta (nèe Cole) Schroeder. On June 30, 1962, Jane married Edward Joseph Becker at St. John Catholic Church in Paris Township, WI. He preceded her in death in 1996.
Jane dedicated over 35 years of her career as a school bus driver, safely transporting generations of students in her community. Beyond the driver's seat, she trained countless new bus drivers - devoting her time, patience, and expertise to ensure they carried her high standards of safety and care. She also earned the title of Assistant Terminal Manager over the years. Jane was an avid hunter and outdoorswoman and became the first female Hunter Education Instructor in State for 30 years in Kenosha County. There she was known for her steady aim and sharp eye, earning her a reputation for having "the best shot" around. She was the senior female instructor when she retired. Jane had a lifelong love for softball and spent many years coaching fastpitch girls' recreational leagues across the Kenosha County area. Her vivacious attitude towards the sport and compassion for her athletes brought home at least 4 different championships in various leagues. Jane's passion for the game, strong arm, and fierce leadership inspired an entire generation of young athletes, many of whom lovingly called her "Ma."
Jane is survived by her children, Todd (Laura) Becker and Dawn (Brian) Boley; her grandchildren, Hunter Becker and Gracia Boley; her siblings, Janice (Helmut) Lacas and Diane (Warren) Lichthardt; her beloved friend, Sharon (Barry) Bianco; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Edward, Jane was preceded in death by her grandson, Kellen Becker; her siblings: Jack (Lorraine) Schroeder, Everett Jr., (Beverly) Schroeder, Harold (Esther Lou) Schroeder, Sharon (Ted) Rowe, Shirley Hoeksema, and Donald (Martha) Schroeder; her infant brother, Orville and sisters-in-law, Florence Schroeder and Lucille Becker.
