Jeffery Jenkins Obituary

Jeffery C. Jenkins

March 4, 1951 - January 3, 2025

Jeffery "Jeff" Jenkins, 73, of New Lisbon, Wis., passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He was devoted husband of Linda for 53 years after becoming high school sweethearts.

Jeff leaves behind three children: Matthew Jenkins, Kyle Jenkins (Erin), and Katie McGinnis (Sean); and four grandchildren: Collin, Shaela, Isaac and Sawyer. He loved sharing his "Dad jokes" and teaching his grandkids how to fish on their beautiful lake.

A 1969 Bradford graduate, Jeff attended UW Parkside, excelling in wrestling, and enjoyed coaching his sons and becoming wrestling coach for Lincoln Jr. high. He worked for Tri-Clover in Kenosha and Alfa-Laval in Richmond, Va., retiring after 44 years.

In retirement, Jeff and Linda built their forever home on Clear Water Lake next to their best friends, where Jeff became the "Cribbage Champion" of the Lake.

He will be remembered for his love for family, infectious smile, and joy in life's simple pleasures. A celebration of Jeff is planned for later date.

Jeff was one of my favorite people and his wonderful sense of humor and contagious laugh was like no other. Most of all, Jeff was a loving father and "Papa". And even after 53 years of marriage he could make Linda laugh as though they met yesterday. He loved her with all his heart.

RIP Jeff, you are missed by all who knew you

I met Jeff when he and Linda moved to Richmond for work at Alfa Laval. He and Linda lived near our neighborhood in Woodlake, so my wife and I had the pleasure to get to know them both as friends also.

I will treasure all the times Jeff and Linda invited me, my sons and brother in law to watch the Vikings Packers games together on Sunday afternoons. There was always great food and great friendship during those games. I will miss our friendly rivalry!

My sympathy to the entire Jenkins family on your loss, but, thank you for sharing Jeff with us in Virginia.

I am so sorry for your loss.
I worked in office and relied on Jeff many a time to get an order out the door. He was always beyond helpful. I know from working with the Richmond plant how much they loved him and relied on his vast expertise every day. Rest in peace Jeff

Like many of us we went our separate ways after HS. It's clear Jeff had a life well lived built on his high energy personality, a sense of humor and the kind person he was. All traits we saw in HS. RIP Jeff. Condolences to his family.

Jeff and Linda ... our best friends and how happy we were when they built their dream home next to us on Clear Water Lake after moving back to Wisconsin.

We will miss Jeff so very much, especially Mark. They were the best of friends, fishing, playing cribbage every week together and enjoying their monthly poker game with the neighbors on our lake.

Cheri, Mark and I loved our time spent with a Jeff and Linda ~ whether it was just sitting on our back yard patios or going out to dinner together. We sure had a lot of fun! We will miss him terribly, but are so fortunate to have over fifty years of memories with him.

Gone too soon Love you Jeff and Linda

Erin and I loved having Linda & Jeff as neighbors here in Richmond, VA. Jeff was a wonderful person who always had a smile and time to talk. I recall being out back of our house once and I heard some yelling coming from Jeff & Linda´s. At first I was a bit concerned, then I remembered it was Sunday and the Packers were on . Loved that about him too.
