Madelynn affectionately known as "Babe" by her dad and brothers, graduated from St. Joseph High School "Class of 1959" in Kenosha. After high school she had the thrill of a lifetime appearing on American Bandstand. Madelynn worked at J.I. Case Company where she met Michael L. Bagdasarian. They were united in marriage on May 13, 1961, and shared fifty-six years together until he preceded her in death on December 10, 2017. After marriage she stayed home to raise her family. Madelynn was a longtime member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and was a devout catholic with a strong admiration for St. Therese. In recent years, she also enjoyed building friendships and spending time at St. Hagop Armenian Church. She spent many summers with her parents and three brothers and then later in life with her late husband and children at Carrol Lake Campground near Minocqua. More than anything she was very devoted and loved spending time with her family.
She will be dearly missed by her three children, David (Audrey) Bagdasarian of Waupaca, Karen Bagdasarian of Racine, Michael (Kimberly) Bagdasarian of Oxford, Mich.; her grandchildren, Alec (fiancée Liz Mariscal), Olivia, Elise; brothers, Fritz (Pat) Frank of Alamo, Texas, Will (Kelly) Frank of Racine, Jeff (Julie) Frank of Kenosha; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many special friends including Diane Dorn, Peter Bagdassian, and Maggie Wigman. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her infant brother Joseph; and by in-laws, Alex (Rose) Bagdasarian and Steve (Var) Krikorian.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, September 5, 2025, 11 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1533 Erie Street, Racine, with Rev. Michael Petersen officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m., and Friday at the church 10:30 a.m. to the time of the mass.
Memorials to St. Joseph's Catholic Church or St. Hagop Armenian Church have been suggested.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the entire Neuro ICU staff and Compassus Hospice at Ascension Columbia St. Mary's for their loving and compassionate care and to her neighbors, Tom and Ann Lorenzini, Jamie and Courtney Ulinski for their kindness and unwavering support shown for so many years.
