Marisa Cima, 82, of Kenosha, Wisc., passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie, surrounded by the love of her family. Over the past two years, she bravely battled metastatic gallbladder cancer.

Marisa was born on December 25, 1943, in Norma, Latina, Italy, the daughter of the late Augusto and Arcangela (Iacomini) Riva. In 1958, she immigrated to the United States with her parents; her brother, Joe, and her sister, Lucia.

On October 29, 1966, Marisa married Guglielmo Antonio "Tony" Cima in Norma, Italy. Following their marriage, Tony joined her in Kenosha, Wisc., where they built their life together.

Marisa was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Kenosha, where she was actively involved in the Ladies Society, often helping with bake sales, spaghetti dinners, and other parish events.

She worked at Leblanc Corporation for more than 30 years as a brazer, crafting wind instruments with skill and pride. Following her retirement, Marisa completed a personal goal she had carried with her for many years by earning her GED in 2010 at the age of 67 - a testament to her determination and commitment to lifelong growth. She also kept in touch with long-time work friends after retirement and had regular lunches with them.

Marisa enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, sewing, and reading-but most of all, she treasured time spent with her family and friends. She was an active and energetic presence in the lives of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, making every effort to attend birthday parties, graduations, sporting events, plays, and recitals whenever she could.

Marisa was also a wonderful hostess who loved opening her home to others. Of all the occasions she celebrated, Christmas Eve was her favorite. Each year, she prepared and served the Feast of the Seven Fishes, followed by an abundance of desserts-ending the evening with roasted chestnuts and champagne, and then on to bingo and Italian card games.

Survivors include her husband, Tony; children, Mark and Gina (Rozzoni) Cima, Eric and Wendy (Covelli) Cima, Steven and Jodie (Miedzianski) Cima, and Brian and Jill Cima; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Her brother, Joe and Paola Riva, and sister, Lucia and Gil Constanti, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and God-children.

A special thank you to Hospice Alliance and the oncology teams at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center of Aurora in Kenosha and the Carbone Cancer Center at UW Health in Madison for their care.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, January 12, 2026, at Proko Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place at 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at the funeral home to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church for 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum, Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Hospice Alliance or the American Cancer Society, in her memory.
