1929 - 2020
Mateja Brkic, 91, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020. Born on September 21, 1929 in Donja Kravarica, Lucani, Serbia to father Milutin and mother Leposava Brkic. Memory eternal.
He immigrated to the US in the mid 1960'and worked McWhite until his retirement in 1987. Thereafter he spent his time doing carpentry and working on his house.
Loving uncle of Miso Brkic, dear friend of Dr. Judith Fai-Podlipnik.
Mateja will be sorely missed by other family members and friends in Serbia, the USA and world-wide.
Visitation Friday, December 11, 2020 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Sveta Gora Serbian Orthodox Funeral home, 3517 N. Pulaski Road, Chicago, IL 60641.
Mali pomen (Serbian Orthodox Wake Service) 6. p.m. at Sveta Gora.
Opelo (Serbian Orthodox Funeral Service) and interment will take place at the Donja Kravarica Cemetery in Serbia.
All donations in his memory are to be sent to St Sava Serbian Orthodox Monastery, 32377 IL-21, Libertyville, IL 60048.
