Michael Conte Obituary

Michael F. Del Conte

September 15, 1959 - November 7, 2025

Michael Frank Del Conte, 66, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on September 15, 1959 in Kenosha, Wisc., Michael was the cherished son of Rosemarie "Cookie" and the late James Del Conte. He attended Holy Rosary School, Bradford High School and Gateway Technical College, where he earned two degrees in Industrial and Business marketing.

Michael and his former wife, Kathy Coniker, shared the joy of raising five wonderful children together. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to nine beautiful grandchildren, each of whom brought him tremendous happiness. Family meant everything to him. In 1993, he built their family home- a place filled with love, laughter and countless memories. He loved to entertain, host many family gatherings, jam to music in his garage, walk his German Shepherds throughout his big yard and celebrate all the holidays, especially his favorite one, Christmas.

He was a visionary, a dedicated businessman and a lifelong entrepreneur. Michael worked at American Motors, owned Bristol Oaks Country Club and was the proud founder of Delco Energy Solutions for over 30 years.

Michael was one of a kind, a trusted mentor and loyal friend to many. He had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome, comfortable, and loved. Michael enjoyed going out with his brothers-in-law, coffee with his buddies, but above all, he treasured every moment spent with his family.

Michael is survived by his mother, Rosemarie Del Conte; former wife, Kathy Coniker; his children, Michael Del Conte (Kaelie Jeschke), daughter-in-law, Marianne Gabriel, Jessica (Jason) Foster, Jacklynne (Brandon) Crocker, Samantha Del Conte (Connor Rhey); his grandchildren, Dominic Del Conte, Jazmine Canales, Nathan, Adrianna, Josephine and Walter Foster, Aubrey, Hayden and Kylie Crocker; all of his siblings, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Del Conte; mother and father-in-law, Jerry and Gwen Coniker; his son, Vincent Del Conte, and brother-in-law, Steve Zamora.

His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the family he built and the love he gave to all.

A visitation for Michael will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Piasecki Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of Pompeii 2224 45th St. Interment will follow in St. George Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to the family would be appreciated.

Dear Del Conte family,
I was truly heartbroken to learn of Micheal´s passing. We shared a deep friendship throughout our teenage years, and it was always a joy to rekindle that bond during my visits to Kenosha. Just recently, we reminisced about our childhood and agreed that we wouldn´t have changed a thing.
Micheal had an impressive work ethic that I admired deeply;. I remember how he was always busy, whether working at Alteri´s deli, serving at Little Boy Blue ice cream-where he sometimes sneaked us a free cone-or sanding boats at the marina on the south side. This ethic was a gold standard I aspired to emulate.
We had our share of mischief, too-running from the green truck while playing on the municipal golf course and cruising around in the blue Javelin. One other thing you could count on while hanging around with Mike was to meet girls. He was a chick magnet!
Lastly he was our gateway to the Del Conte family where my brother Chris and I aspired to become Italians by celebrating weddings and other traditions with the Del Conte family..
During this incredibly challenging time, please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Micheal will be profoundly missed, but his legacy of kindness and joy will always remain with us. I hope you find solace in the unwavering support and love of family and friends surrounding you.
With my sincerest condolences,
Mark
