Nathaniel Walter Obituary
1996 - 2013
Nathaniel John Walter, 16, of Twin Lakes, Wis., died Thursday evening June 27, 2013, at the Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin in Wauwatosa, Wis.
Nathaniel was born on July 11, 1996 in Elkhorn, Wis., the son of Scott D. and Michelle Larsen Walter. Nathaniel would be a senior at Wilmot High School in the Fall.
He was a member of the Wilmot United Methodist Church where he was very active in youth events. He also organized events for the CONVO group. He was very active in the Boy Scouts, Troop 236 in Genoa City where he attained the Eagle Scout Award on May 19, 2013. He was involved in wrestling and pole vaulting at Wilmot High School. He was a member of the IT Staff and a teaching assistant for the IT Dept. He was also a member of the Trap Shooting Club at Wilmot High School. He loved computers especially keyboards. He enjoyed fishing, going up north, and snow and water skiing. Since the age of 4, he has collected pop tops for the Ronald McDonald House.
Nathaniel is survived by his parents, Scott and Michelle; one sister, Emily at home; grandparents-Leonard and Margaret Larsen of Colfax, Wis., and Ron and Mary Walter of Edgerton, Wis.; great grandparents-Howard and Esther Walter of Dubuque, Iowa; and many aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by great grandparents, Ray and Gertrude Schmerbach, Earle and Mildred Holt and Leonard and Juanita Larsen.
The Walter Family would like to Thank the Twin Lakes Rescue Squad, Randall Fire Dept., Flight For Life and the whole staff at Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin for everything they did for Nathan.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday July 2, 2013, at the Haase-Lockwood and Assoc. Funeral Home and Crematory 620 Legion Dr. Twin Lakes, WI with Pastor Judy Wang officiating. The Walter Family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Funeral Home. Memorial Remembrances for Nathaniel may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 8948 W. Watertown Plank Rd.
