His nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive him. In addition to his parents and beloved wife, Richard was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, William and Betty Brandt.

My Father was the strongest person. He always made me feel safe and instilled his strong faith in God and the Church into his family. I will always remember the times we spent together when building my house. He would drive from Kenosha to West Allis everyday and I couldn't wait to meet him for lunch breaks. I will miss the daily phone conversations we had on the way home from work. I felt comfort in the sun shining these past few days. I know he is shining down on us all. I will follow in your foot steps Dad. I Love You Dad!

Richard (Dick as I knew him) was really a Big Brother to me. Memories of Dick go very deep, from the time I came down to Kenosha,to attend a Chicago Blackhawks game at 13 years old alone on the train-to deep conversations we had about Christ/ Faith and "living" that life. His gentle words ,without a doubt shaped my life. I say Thank You. Rest in Peace my dear brother, and friend.

My Big Brother will be remembered as a gentle, patient man with a deep faith. Working hard, raising 7 children and living a life representing his faith is who he was. Even though he was older then me, and our time together was not enough, he taught me lessons. I loved visiting Kenosha and when the family would come to see us in St. Paul, my heart would ache when the family left. I loved those times together. I will always be grateful for this wonderful man. As he units with Betty in heaven, I know the Lord is pleased and the heavens rejoice. As the family continues on know that you are loved. RIP dear Brother. Love, Judy
