My buddy Dick was as a good a friend and mentor that a man could ask for. We spent many Saturdays together just talking about the ups and downs of life. I will forever be grateful that he wandered into my life and became the best buddy he was too me. I miss him so much! Still love you pal!

I have very fond memories of Dick. Whether it was playing in the neighborhood as a child, or cutting through Sears on my way home from Lance, Dick always had a friendly smile and kind words. Even after 56 years, there are some people who make an impression on how I want to be remembered. Dick was one of those few people.

I will always remember his smile. I walked through Sears many times and he was always standing there in the appliance section. Smiling and saying hello to all those around him. He was like that every day of his life. You could even spot him as he walked around town. Kenosha has lost a great man. My thoughts go out to Caryn and Barry in the days ahead.

My heartfelt sympathy to his family. I also worked with Dick at Sears and remained friends with him and Mary over the years. They would ride their motorcycles out to Arizona and always met us for dinner. The last few years when I came home for a visit, I would go spend an afternoon with him and he was always so happy, positive , and a shining light to the world. Be at peace my wonderful friend.

I adored Mr. Cross. I lived in the "old neighborhood" at 3621-74th Street. The Cross's lived in the white house on the corner of the block on 75th (diagonal). Mr. Cross was such a nice man. He would have all of the neighborhood kids put on plays in their driveway. We'd hang sheets and blankets for the curtains. I saw him about 10 years ago outside his home on 38th Avenue and stopped to talk to him. Just as sweet as sugar. He too loved that old neighborhood. He said there was never another one like it, it was almost magical. It was the late '50's and throughout the '60's and with all the baby boomer kids made it incredible. Caren and Barry, I am so very sorry at the loss of your Dad. I know your Mom passed away a few years ago. It's hard to say goodbye. Many blessings on your days dear ones.

I am so glad that my husband Jerry and he got to meet last year. He was my boss but he was also my friend. Not sure if many people can say that about their boss. I was Blessed to know him Rest in peace my friend.
