Ronald Jilk Obituary
1958 - 2013
Ronald J. Jilk, 54, of Kenosha, died on June 17, 2013.
Born on July 19, 1958 in Niles, Mich., he was the son of Albert and Lillian (Lewandowski) Jilk. His family moved to Kenosha in 1964. Ron attended St. Peter Catholic Grade School and graduated from St. Joseph High School. He received an Associate Degree in Accounting from Gateway Technical College and attended Carthage College.
Ron worked at Kenosha Hospital before becoming a consultant for McKesson for 19 years.
Flower gardening and keeping his yard beautiful was his passion. He will be remembered for holding annual garden parties. Ron enjoyed traveling especially to tropical places, taking cruises and cherished his trip to Ireland in 2011. He loved animals especially dogs and cats. Ron was a die-hard Packer fan.
Ron is survived by his mother, Lillian; his brother, Robert Jilk of California; his nephews, Peter (Roxanne) Jilk of Milwaukee, Kyle Kahl of Madison, Ryan Kahl of Madison; his nieces, Sarah (Adam) Nell of Milwaukee and Katie Kahl of Madison; his sister-in-law, Cathy Probst of Mankato, Minn.; his great-nephew, Joseph Jilk and his canine companion, Goldie.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2013, at 12 Noon at Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home. A Gathering of Relatives and Friends will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.

My thoughts and prayers to Ron's family. I knew Ron in high school and we rode the bus together. I recently reconnected with Ron and we exchanged emails. Ron was a very sweet person and I am sad to learn of his passing.

My prayers go out for Ron and his family. He was a big part of my teen years. He would surprise me here and there with a card on special occasions.
Favorite Ron memory was when he drove us to the Barry Manilow concert, (my first concert ever) . It was a great night!
