Born in Kenosha, WI on August 24, 1946. She was the daughter of the late Emma Minors (Nee Hoppe) and Andrew Minors.
Sandra grew up in Kenosha and attended school at Friedens Lutheran, Washington Jr. High School and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School.
On October 15, 1966, Sandra was joined in marriage to her beloved husband of 59 years, Clinton J. Steele in Kenosha at Friedens Lutheran Church. The two met as children in the same neighborhood they have lived in since.
Early in life, Sandra worked at Bisno's in downtown Kenosha. There she was a buyer and worked the sales floor. After the arrival of her girls, Sandra enjoyed volunteering at their schools, at Grace Lutheran Church where she was a member and throughout the community on various causes.
Her biggest volunteering endeavors was with the Girl Scouts. She was the leader of several troops throughout the decades, leading all levels. She enjoyed taking the girls on primitive camping trips, making them "search" for their breakfast. She kept the troops busy with selling cookies, and giving back to the community with various projects.
Sandra loved her girls, grandchildren, and Clinton dearly. She was "strong like bull", enjoyed staring at Clinton's butt as well as watching the Green Bay Packers, giving to those in need, being around motorcycles, collecting any doll, horse, owl, skeleton, flower or dog she could get her hands on and keeping her family and caregivers on their toes.
In her later years she was able to check off some items on her bucket list. These included attending the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally several times and going skydiving.
Sandra is survived by her life long love Clinton, her girls Tina Miller, Tricia Andrews, Tamera Steele and Terry Steele, her sons-in-law, Roy Miller and Todd Andrews, her adored grandchildren Kate Miller, Drake Foster, Mavis Foster and Troy Andrews, brother Wayne Minors, sisters-in-law Crystal Minors and Margaret Principe, many other loved ones, plus her singing cockatiel Eek and her "favorite daughter", her dog Layla.
