Scott Edmonds Obituary
1958 - 2017
Scott R. Edmonds, 58, of Genoa City, Wis., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017, at his home.
He was born Dec. 17, 1958, in Waukegan, Ill., the son of the late Eugene Edmonds and Alma (nèe Longbons) Edmonds. On Aug. 27, 1983, Scott married Barbara Alice Hammond and she preceded him in death on Sept. 16, 2015. Scott spent over 30 years as a local carpenter for the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 250. Scott is the last remaining from a dear group of people from his wedding, which included his wife, his best man and maid of honor.
Scott is survived by his daughter, Jade (Nicholas) Fibish; his granddaughter, Cameron; his mother, Alma Edmonds; his siblings, Terry (Rosanne) Edmonds and Rodger (Toni) Edmonds; and his loyal protector, Kensey; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his father and his wife, Barbara, he was preceded in death by his brother, William.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. Antioch, IL 60002. Memorial Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the start of the service Monday at the funeral home. For additional information, call 847-395-4000. Great Scott!
That was one of my standard greetings when I would run into him while working at the Zion power plant. Truly a great guy that was willing to help anyone and always with his trademark smile! I am sad to hear of his passing. Best wishes to his family during this difficult time.

One of my earliest memories is Scott's 6th birthday party with all of us Newport kindergarteners running around the house and yard and playing in that big tractor tire sandbox. Scott was a great friend through ZBTHS and after - as kind and generous as anyone I knew. I've remembered him every time I've driven through Rosecrans. To all of the Edmonds' - I'm so sorry for your loss.
