Thomas David Brehm
March 16, 1944 - April 10, 2024
KENOSHA - Thomas David Brehm, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully at his residence on April 10th, 2024, at the age of 80. Born in Kenosha on March 16, 1944, to the late LeRoy and Catherine (Peterson) Brehm. He was drafted in 1966 in the U.S. Army. He spent time in Korea as a Military Police. He worked for Lucas Tile and Tithof Tile, whom he always spoke fondly of. In 1968 he married Mary Harmon. Their 56 years were a testament to love and laughter. Of this marriage, they had two boys, James (Tina) and David (Beth).
Retirement in 2002 was not about slowing down, but about trading the trowels for his cabin in Lola, WI, which he affectionately named Heaven. His heart was content with nature picking up pinecones and caring for his 12 birdhouses. But when his grandchildren got old enough, they started picking up pinecones, and they got paid for it. He loved to go deer hunting with his oldest son Jay, and to Dallas Cowboy football games with youngest son David.
He cherished his grandsons: Brady and Cason, and granddaughter, Reegan. When grandpa used to take his nap, Reegan used to put nail polish and makeup on him. Sharon Robinson, his sister-in-law, held a special place in his heart. Their bond forged through years of laughter and shared secrets. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Robert.
The family would like to thank Hospice Alliance for being the best caretakers you could ask for, Dr. John Agaiby, Dr. Shaw, and Dr. Mariani for all their wonderful help with Tom. Another special thanks to longtime friend Wally and Diane Gedgaudaus years of companionship and love, they were always there for us.
Services for Tom will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Wesley United Methodist Church (4600 60th St.) at 11:00 A.M. A visitation with the family will also take place at church from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial at St. George Catholic Cemetery including full military honors with funeral procession to follow the services.
