Thomas "Tom" Dale Cheney
1939 - 2023
BURLINGTON - Thomas "Tom" Dale Cheney, 84, passed away peacefully with family at his side at Pinebrooke Pointe, his home for the past six years, being taken care of and loved the entire time, with special thanks to all. He was born June 4, 1939, to Carl and Loretta (Wagner) Cheney in Burlington, WI. The fourth of five children his siblings were Carlette, Dayton, Bernard, and Gerrie.
He lived at home until joining the United States Army in October of 1956 through August of 1958, with an honorable discharge and then completing service obligations with two years in Korea.
Employment first being at Pleasant Prairie Power Plant and later at American Motors.
He had been married to Elaine (Reams) and later divorced.
Tom is survived by daughter, Pamela (Steven) Scott of Dillsburg, PA; son, Thomas (Heidi) Cheney of Gilbert, AZ; his grandchildren: Emma Cheney, Ryan Cheney, and Brianna Gamero-Cheney; two great-grandchildren: Noelle Hunt and Pearce Hunt. He is also survived by his siblings: Carlette Wallenfang, Bernard (Betty) Cheney, and Geraldine Thurber; and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind special life-time friends: Willard, Jerry, and Groover but too, we can't forget all his "buddies" at Dannys Restaurant.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brother, Dayton Cheney; brothers-in-law: Nolan Wallenfang and Harold Thurber; sisters-in-law: Barb Cheney and Gail Cheney.
Tom enjoyed playing cards, rummaging, auctions, antiquing, and visits to casinos!

Tom will be laid to rest at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in private burial.
