William Gehrke Obituary
1930 - 2016
William W. Gehrke, 86, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016, at Brookside Care Center, Kenosha.
He was born in Kenosha, Jan. 27, 1930, son of the late William and Margaret (Nee: Woehr) Gehrke.
He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. William was employed with McWyte Wire Rope Company for thirty-two years, retiring in 1992. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. More than anything he cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He will be dearly missed by his children, David (Cindy) Gehrke, Paul Gehrke, all of Kenosha, Annie (Joseph) Hebior of Friendship; his four grandchildren, Scott Gehrke, Jason (Heather) Gehrke, Kimberly (Joseph) Bonn, Andrew (Heather) Hebior; his six great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Brody, Trask, Axtin, Haley, and Jenna; other relatives and many dear friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandson, Joseph Hebior IV.
A Committal service with Full Military Honors will be held Friday, Aug. 26, 2016, 12 Noon at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 21731 Spring Street, Town of Dover.
