William (Bill) J. Spencer
1944 - 2021
William (Bill) J. Spencer, age 76, a lifelong resident of Kenosha passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Froedtert South surrounded by his loving family. He was born in 1944 on Christmas Day to the late Leslie and Doris (Zuhde) Spencer. On June 27, 1964 he married the love of his life Charmayne (Ausen) at Bethany Lutheran Church in Kenosha. He attended local schools and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School. Bill belonged to the steel workers union and worked at the American Brass Company as a forklift operator for over 38 years until his retirement in 1999.
He is survived by his wife Char of over 56 years, his son Grant Spencer and daughters: Rhonda Kozerski, LeeAnn Powell, and Shannon (Anthony) Domenk. He was Grandpa to seven grandchildren: Ryley Powell, Kyle Spencer, Nicholas Kozerski, Jadynn Powell, Kailey Kozerski, Spencer Domenk, Madison Domenk, and also had one great-grandchild: Charlotte Spencer.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Leslie Spencer of Kenosha, and Ralph Spencer of California.
He was "Bill" if you knew him and "Wild Bill" if you knew him well. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. He met Char when he was four years old and fiercely loved her, his family, and friends. He loved "putzin" around the house, grilling on his weber grill and just being outdoors. He was always up for a game of pool or an impromptu dance with Char. Bill loved watching the Green Bay Packers and old western movies. He also loved riding his motorcycle. If Bill was not at home, you always knew where to find him, "up nort" St. Germain at the family-owned A-frame enjoying life with his family and friends.
The family would like to give a thank you to Froedtert South for their remarkable care and compassion for him and his family. As per the family's wishes services will be held privately.

I'll never let you go Dad, you are in my heart and thoughts daily. The one and only comfort I have is that you are now at peace, and with your family and friends watching over us all. I can only hope to be remembered the way everyone I know remembers you, kind, caring, outgoing, and a pure joy to be around, to those that knew you, or met you for the first time. An absolute legend and amazing father who broke his back to give us whatever he could if we asked or not. I'll never forget you explaining, so many times, the importance of family. Rest easy now Dad
