So sorry about your loss. When Dad (Al) and I attended a luncheon at your home on New Year's Day several years ago, I met your adopted daughter, Mia. Remember Ray telling how much it meant to have her as a daughter. My love and prayers to you, Isabel, and your family who will sorely miss Ray.

Dear Grott Family,

I was saddened to see Ray's obituary in the paper today. He was a wonderful man. Ray helped me to quit smoking in 1984 and I will be forever grateful to him for the part he played in that. I will always remember him saying "When you want to smoke, ask yourself 'what do I really want?'" He also said,"When you find yourself toying with the idea of having 'just one', tell yourself 'it's not negotiable!'" "NEVER toy with the idea of having just one, don't let your mind negotiate you into having 'just one'!" I will always remember his words and they have served me well all these years. My life has forver been changed by Ray, his kindness and generosity in giving of himself and his time for others. Please find comfort in knowing how many lives he touched. I am one of them and I am blessed. I thank God for Ray and I pray that he is welcomed home by his Heavenly Father. Very best regards, Sallie Noger, Lexington KY
