Bobbie Engle Obituary

Bobbie Sue Engle

October 7, 1934 - February 6, 2025

Lexington, Kentucky - Bobbie Sue Engle, 90, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2025. Born in Pineville, Kentucky, she was the beloved daughter of Ernest and Launa Parker and grew up alongside her sister, Faye. She spent her life devoted to family, friends, and community, always bringing people together with warmth, kindness, and a spirit of service.

Bobbie Sue was the heart of her family and leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and leadership. She is survived by her sons, Greg Engle (wife Claudia) and Tim Engle (wife Leigh), and her beloved grandsons, Miles and Field. She also leaves behind Christine: her caregiver, companion, and cherished friend, who brought joy, comfort, and unwavering support to her life.

Her passion for community was reflected in her lifelong service. She served as President of the Lexington Women's Club and was a Board Member of the Lexington Philharmonic and the UK Art Museum, where she also served as a docent. Passionate about politics and philanthropy, she worked tirelessly to connect people, advocate for causes, and cultivate strong donor relationships. Her expertise in diplomacy, etiquette, and protocol, honed through her accreditation at The Protocol School of Washington, helped her navigate leadership roles with grace and effectiveness.

Beyond her civic work, Bobbie Sue found joy in life's simple pleasures. She cherished long walks with her dog through the Arboretum, lively conversations with friends, and making a difference in the lives of others.

In accordance with her wishes, no formal service will be held. Those who wish to honor her memory may make donations to the Alzheimer's Association, supporting research and care for those affected by the disease.

Bobbie Sue's love, dedication, and generosity will be deeply missed and forever cherished. www.clarklegacycenter.com

Greg & family,
So sorry to learn of your Mom´s passing. I remember fondly DeLong Rd days and carpool times to church on Sunday nights. Your Mom was a great lady.
